More Than 18,000 Marvel Fans Sign a Petition to Make Danny DeVito the Next Wolverine

If you’re a fan of the Marvel character Wolverine, you know he’s one formidable being. Mostly associated with X-men, Wolverine is known for his powerful senses and physical capabilities, not to mention three retractable claws in each hand.

So what actor would you think would be fitting to play Wolverine in a movie? With Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine in the X-Men series since 2000, we would imagine an actor that’s strong. Chiseled. Jacked. Maybe someone like Vin Diesel? Jason Momoa? Dwayne Johnson?

Well if you thought of those people, or any other jacked actor, you’d be wrong, wrong and wrong.

The people has spoken and have made it clear who they want. And they want Danny DeVito.

In fact, the people want the 74-year-old not-very-jacked funny actor so much that there’s now a petition to name DeVito Wolverine.

The Change.org petition is called “Have Danny DeVito play the rebooted Wolverine in the MCU.” As of the evening of May 22, the petition has surpassed its signature goal of 15,000 with more than 18,000 signatures and counting.

The petition reads:

The petition comes not long after Disney acquired 21st Century Fox, meaning that

Do you think Danny DeVito would make a good Wolverine? Do you plan to sign the petition? Who do you think would be good for the role?
