Ever wanted to become a vegan, but thought it would be too difficult to give up eating your favorite animal products?

Keeping a vegan diet, including cutting out all meat and dairy products, has been proven to help with weight loss, blood pressure, and some cardiovascular diseases. But maintaining that kind of lifestyle can be difficult for some, especially if you’re so used to eating animal products on the daily.

However, according to singer Lizzo, who recently decided to adapt to the new diet, it’s actually not very hard.

“As a new vegan I’m enjoying exploring flavors from plants and plant-based proteins! Every journey is personal & deserves to be celebrated,” she stated in a recent video on TikTok.

In the video, Lizzo goes over what a typical day looks like with her vegan diet. And she’s right—all of her meals sound delicious, and not very hard to keep up with!

Lizzo says she usually begins her day with a smoothie made with coconut water, kale or spinach and some frozen fruit. The coconut water helps keep her hydrated and alert, while the greens and fruit offer vitamins and minerals to keep her going all day.

For lunch, she enjoys a salad made with kale, red cabbage, broccoli, avocado, onions, and carrots.

If she gets hungry for a snack, she’ll eat some hummus—which is a much better alternative to the hot Cheetos she used to binge on, she admits.

For dinner, one of her favorite recipes is mushroom balls made with chickpeas, plus more salad.

If she still isn’t full after dinner, she makes herself another smoothie, made with peanut butter, frozen strawberries, oats, oat milk, and vanilla protein powder—a recipe with lots of protein and healthy fats to help keep her fuller longer. In fact, in the video she says that she feels good and full after a day of eating like this

“So being plant-based and vegan has been pretty easy,” she concludes, adding that there’s just one exception where it’s a bit harder: “Except for when I am hungover. I used to crave cheesy eggs,” she said.

Oh, we feel you there, Lizzo.

She does have a great hack for if you crave eggs while trying to stay vegan, which she shares in another video here.

Man, do these meals look delicious or what? Are you interested in trying out a vegan diet? What do you think of the food Lizzo talks about in her video? Do you think you could survive on meals like these, and cut out all animal products?
