Keanu Reeves Airport Encounter Proves Reputation is Deserved

Meeting a celebrity can sometimes be exciting and other times be intimidating. What do you say? Do you say anything at all or be cool? Do you ask for an autograph or selfie?

Different people have different approaches, and different celebrities have different reactions to encounters with fans. Some are truly nice and down to earth people. Others can be rude.

TV producer Andrew Kimmel shared on Twitter that he met Keanu Reeves at baggage claim at the airport in New York. He was bold enough to ask Reeves for a selfie, and Reeves complied, but it was the interaction he overheard between Reeves and a boy at the airport that really impressed him.

Kimmel shared, “Keanu Reeves was on my flight from London to NYC today. A young boy asked for an autograph at baggage & then began to fire off a series of rapid-fire questions.”

Some celebrities probably wouldn’t stick around to answer the boy’s questions, but Reeves did. Kimmel wrote, “Keanu happily responded to every single one…”

Kimmel shared a picture of the boy and Reeves at the airport when Reeves was signing his autograph.

Then he shared examples of the questions he heard the boy ask as well as Reeve’s answers.

Eventually, the boy ran out of questions to ask Reeves, but that was far from the end of the conversation. After answering the boy’s last question, Reeves turned the tables and started asking the boy questions.

Then Kimmel explained why he decided to share this experience on Twitter. He wrote, “I thought I’d share this because the dude is a class act and little moments like this can make such a big difference in people’s lives. We need more Keanus!”

Finally, Kimmel shared the selfie he took with Reeves explaining, “I geeked out a little and asked for a photo. I mean… had to.”

Have you ever met someone famous? If so, were you disappointed or impressed when you met them in person?
