Ina Garten Responds Perfectly to People Who Recently Criticized Her Dishwasher Habits

One of the appliances we use every single day is the dishwasher. While sometimes we save up all of our laundry to do on the weekend, we can’t really do that with dishes or we wouldn’t have our favorite pots, pans and plates to use. We’d also run out of silverware way too quickly.

If you use your dishwasher every single day, you’ll really benefit from these dishwasher use tips that save so much time. For example, did you know that you can use your dishwasher to wash more than just dishes?

Ina Garton definitely knows that she can use her dishwasher to wash more than just dishes. She puts everything in her dishwasher. Want proof? Just look at Instagram.

Garton recently posted a picture of the inside of her dishwasher on Instagram. The text accompanying the photo was simple and relatable. She wrote, “If you’re not sick of unloading the dishwasher, could you please come unload mine??”

If you’re not sick of unloading the dishwasher, could you please come unload mine??

In the comments, many people could definitely relate to Garton. Aren’t we all sick of loading and unloading the dishwasher?

Some of Garton’s followers weren’t so nice. They took the opportunity to criticize what Garton had in the dishwasher.

Garton’s dishwasher picture showed pretty common items: plates, a roasting pan, silverware, a spatula, etc. Apparently, according to some people, not all of these items are supposed to go in the dishwasher. Can you guess which items you’re supposed to wash by hand?

According to some comments, knives and spatulas can be ruined by a dishwasher and should not be washed that way.

Garton is ignoring the hopefully well-meaning yet unsolicited advice. She responded, “EVERYTHING goes in the dishwasher!! My assistant used to put the bird cage in the dishwasher (she took the bird out first).”

Although filling and emptying the dishwasher is annoying, the thought of washing everything by hand instead is even more unthinkable. We’re glad to know that apparently Garton has had success washing “EVERYTHING” in the dishwasher. As one comment reads, “If Ina Garten puts her knives and spatulas in the dishwasher, then I can put my knives and spatulas in the dishwasher!”

Do you wash knives and spatulas in the dishwasher? Do you dislike emptying the dishwasher?
