Woman Who Coughed On and Attacked Uber Driver Is Now Facing Two Felony Charges

It was just another day at work for Uber driver Subhakar Khadka until he picked up 3 female passengers and noticed that one of them wasn’t wearing a face mask. Khadka was polite about it and even pulled over to a gas station so the lady could buy a face mask.

She still refused to wear a face mask. Not only that, but in video footage, we see her deliberately cough on Khadka, pull his mask off his face and try to take his phone. This is all apparently because he told her she needed to wear a face mask.

Eventually, Khadka told the three women that he wasn’t going to drive them and that they needed to get out of the car. That’s when one of the women sprayed something inside Khadka’s vehicle that is thought to be pepper spray.

One of Uber’s founders set up a GoFundMe for the driver to help pay his living expenses since he needs to take a break from driving after this traumatic experience and the damage done to his car.

Two of the three women have been arrested. The woman who coughed was identified as 24-year-old Arna Kimiai. She has been charged with two felonies. One count of assault on a transportation driver, and one count of attempted robbery. In addition, she has been charged with two misdemeanors. One count of violating COVID-19 health protocols and one count of battery on a transportation driver. Kimiai could get up to 16 years in prison and fines that total $3000.

Just think. She could’ve just bought a face mask. Instead, she got pretty aggressive.

Have you ever seen anyone act out so much just because he or she didn’t want to wear a face mask? Do you think 16 years in prison and $3000 in fees is a suitable punishment for what Kimiai did?
