If your friend is getting married, there are a few general rules to follow: You know, things like not wearing white to the wedding. But there’s also one key point to keep in mind: No one should one-up the bride on how she looks. It’s the bride’s day so all eyes should be on her.

However, no matter what, guests are going to be focused on the bride. That’s, after all, why they’re there. However, one bride recently uninvited her friend to her wedding because of how good she looks in the dress she was planning to wear on her big day. The clincher here? The BRIDE chose the dress for her.

“My close friend uninvited me to her wedding because she thought I looked too good in the dress SHE chose for me,” the ex-wedding guest, Alena, a German model, posted on her TikTok. To make matters worse, she uninvited her just days before the wedding, so there was no time to get a new dress.

The video, which scored over 4 million views, was followed by three photos of Alena rocking the dress that caused her to be uninvited to the wedding.

We’ve gotta say—she looks amazing! We can kind of see why the bride wouldn’t want her to look that beautiful on her special day. However, in that case, we’re confused as to why the bride would choose that dress for her!

Many people who saw the video couldn’t help but think the same and shower her with complements about how great she looked. In fact, most people sided with Alena and thought the bride was being unreasonable—or at least, super insecure.

“SHE’S the one who chose the dress,” someone reassured her. “You’re not the problem, you look amazing.”

“WOW…that’s insecurity if I’ve ever seen it. YOU LOOK STUNNINGGG,” another person wrote.

“As your friend, she should want you to look beautiful,” another sided. “If she was secure and confident, she wouldn’t feel intimated at her own wedding. So sad.”

“I’d expect all my friends to look this good at my wedding…sounds like a confidence issue on the bride’s part,” someone else told her.
