Rebel Wilson Celebrates Finally Reaching Her Goal Weight

When Rebel Wilson declared 2020 as her “Year of Health”, she meant business. Despite a global pandemic, Wilson refused to let unforeseen challenges get in the way of her resolution, committing to her health and coming out on top.

The “Pitch Perfect” actress had previously announced she would like to reach 165 lbs. by the end of the year. Through her Instagram Story, she shared an image of her scale with her fans, which served as proof that she had reached her goal.

“Hit my goal with one month to spare!” she wrote. “Even though it’s not about a weight number, it’s about being healthy, I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75 kg’s.”

Wilson checked into Austria’s VivaMayr resort earlier this month to help ensure she remained on the right track. She had first visited the medical detox and wellness center in 2019, thus beginning her weight loss journey. During her initial stay, Wilson says a nutritionist helped her realize she needed to make changes to her diet.

“Before I was probably eating 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry,” she told People Magazine.

Since then, she’s incorporated lean meat like chicken and fish into her high-protein diet, though she has not disclosed how many calories she is now eating per day. According to Wilson, her most recent check-in at the wellness center was to boost her immune system, as well as to lose the last two kilos (approximately 5 lbs.).

The star has been candid about her weight loss journey on social media, sharing images and videos of her grueling workouts during her transformation.

More refreshingly, Wilson has also made a point to post about treating herself on occasion. Though she doesn’t refer to them as “cheat meals”, she has disclosed that she indulges once or twice per week.

As a thank you to those who have followed and supported her weight loss journey, Wilson said she will go live on Instagram on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. EST.

So, while many people are struggling to work off the “COVID-15” (no judgment here!), the actress is making it clear that she’s been the queen of quarantine.
