Queen Elizabeth Has Given Prince William A New Official Title
Now, The Queen has an announcement of her own, and it involves Harry’s brother. Prince William is already known as The Duke of Cambridge, but that’s not his only title. In Scotland, he’s also referred to as Earl of Strathearn. This title was given to him on his wedding day. Now, he has yet another title.

According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s office,
The Queen has approved that His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge and Earl of Strathearn KG KT be appointed as Her Majesty’s Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 2020.
The Lord High Commissioner is the Sovereign’s personal representative to the Annual General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. He attends the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland on behalf of the Sovereign. He makes the opening and closing addresses to the Assembly, and carries out a number of official functions as the Lord High Commissioner.
It seems that The Queen is giving her grandson more and more responsibility. We’re sure she wants him to be ready when he will one day be crowned King.

The relationship between the Church of Scotland and the royal family dates back to 1707. In 1952, Th Queen pledged to continue to maintain the Church of Scotland, and every year, she appoints someone to serve as Lord High Commissioner. His or Her job is to observe on behalf of The Queen. “The person appointed to the role is a Scottish figure, whose appointment is based on merit and their contribution to society.”
