Fans of Meghan Markle Think That Prince Charles Snubbed Her in His Birthday Message to Archie

Today, May 6, 2021, is the 2nd of birthday of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the first born child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The 2-year-old currently lives in California with his parents, and this summer, he will become a big brother when his baby sister is born.

We don’t know how the 2-year-old is celebrating his birthday, but we do know that the royal family is sending him positive wishes. For example, his grandfather, Prince Charles, shared a picture on Twitter with the simple message, “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today.”

It doesn’t seem like there should be anything controversial about a grandfather publicly wishing his grandson a happy birthday, but in this case, there is. After Meghan and Harry chose to leave the royal family, move to another country and make a lot of private family matters quite public during an interview with Oprah, fans on Meghan think that the future king’s message to his grandson was more of a slight to the Duchess than a birthday wish to his grandson.

The photo on Instagram is of Prince Charles with his son Prince Harry and his grandson Archie (who was not given the title prince).

Some people feel that Meghan, the birthday boy’s mother, should have been included in the picture.

Some people bring up the fact that Meghan and Harry told Oprah that someone within the royal family seemed concerned about what color Archie’s skin would be.

Yet, not everyone thinks the photo was intended to be an insult to Meghan. Some people point out that it’s simply a generational photo of father, son and grandson.

Do you think Prince Charles intentionally shared a picture that didn’t include Meghan Markle in it? Do you think people are reading too much into a generational photo?
