This ‘Pinch Of Grinch’ Cookie Dough Is Getting Us Excited for Christmas Way Too Early
Sure, we’re only into the fall season—but it’s starting to get colder and that means Christmas really isn’t too far away. We can’t help but be excited for all the joyfulness that’s to come!
If you’re anything like us, you’re probably already starting to think about decorating the tree or stringing the lights—hey, science says putting up decorations early makes us happier, anyway.
But besides all the decorations and gift giving, one of the best parts about the holidays we’d have to say is baking. Sure, you can entertain your sweet tooth all year, but there’s something about that time of year that makes us want to whip out the cookie cutters.
But you can’t bake just any cookie for the holidays. From sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles on top to the classic gingerbread man, Christmas cookies are truly the best part of the holiday. Whether you’re baking them for a cookie swap party or leaving them for Santa, you really can’t go wrong with any recipe.
Sometimes, however, if you’re short on time, baking cookies from scratch might seem a little daunting. The solution is simple: premade cookie dough, which lets you still get into the Christmas spirit without spending an entire day in the kitchen. Brilliant.
Luckily, Nestle, the sovereign of all that is holy in the cookie business, has been doing ready-to-bake cookies for quite some time. And the brand recently just rolled out (no pun intended) a perfectly Christmas-y design that’s going to make you want to pour the eggnog and sing some carols right this instant.
Appropriately called ‘Pinch Of Grinch’ cookie dough, the dough comes already dyed in the perfect shade of Grinch-y green, and has a one single bright red heart on every single cookie. It’s seriously adorable.
If you’re familiar with the Dr. Seuss character (and book How the Grinch Stole Christmas), you’ll know that the Grinch, who hated Christmas and everyone who enjoyed it, had a very small heart, but once he saw the true meaning of Christmas his heart “grew three sizes that day.”
Is your heart growing three sizes at the idea of these cookies? Ours sure are!
The ‘Pinch Of Grinch’ cookie dough is available starting in October in most grocery stores like Target, Kroger, Walmart, and Publix, and retails up to $3.99 for a serving size of 20.
Bonus: the cookies are made with zero preservatives or artificial flavors, which makes they’re basically kale. Hey, they’re green, aren’t they? (Just kidding, these definitely aren’t the healthiest treats, but the best things aren’t, right?)
So what are you waiting for? We won’t judge if you want to pop in the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas right now! Or at least, go stalk the grocery store until these cookies come onto the shelves.
Tell us: Are you a big baker around the holidays? Do you think you’ll want to get your hands on these adorable Christmas cookies? What’s your favorite part of the holiday season?
