When you think of a true fashionista, who do you think of? While your brain might be floating with options, there’s one that really hits home for us: The Duchess of Sussex herself, Meghan Markle.

Meghan Markle just oozes a lovely sense of style. No matter what she’s wearing—from a high-end ball gown to a form-fitting trench coat, or even when she’s donning regular jeans and a T-shirt, you can tell she knows a thing or two about fashion.

It might come as no surprise then that Meghan was crowned the number one spot on the list of the most powerful fashion influencers of 2019.

Compiled by global fashion platform Lyst, the list ranked actor Timothée Chalamet as the number two spot, with actress Zendaya coming in third. Meghan also beat out popular rapper Cardi B, who falls fifth on the list, and even reality star Kyle Jenner, who made it in at spot number seven.

The main reason for her high ranking is Markle’s outfits drove a 216% average increase in searches for clothing pieces similar to those she wore. We all can’t forget the time she wore a denim dress to Serena William’s match and it wound up selling for three times the price!

“There has long been a contingent of Kate fans drawn to her classic choices and penchant for British designers,” says Elizabeth Holmes, a reputable style reporter and author of “HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style. “Meghan, with her minimalist yet fashion-forward pieces from an array of fashion houses, has brought in a new audience.”
