Expert Calls Meghan and Harry’s Chat with Gayle King a “Shocking Breach of Trust”

There were many shocking revelations made by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. After the interview, many people wondered if Harry would be able to reconcile with his family including his father and brother.

Over the weekend, journalist Gayle King called the former senior royals to ask how they were doing. Then, she went on live TV and discussed part of that conversation. She mentioned that Harry had talked to his brother and father since the Oprah interview, but that he didn’t think those conversations were productive. She also mentioned that none of the senior royals had spoken to Meghan since the interview. In addition, King added that the couple was unhappy that there were still false articles being released about Meghan and that the royal family continued to do nothing to stop it.

Apparently, the royal family is shocked that Meghan and Harry would talk to a journalist so soon after the Oprah interview and shocked that King would leak details about private conversations on national TV.

One source told the Mirror, “This type of behaviour could have huge implications for trust between the camps moving forward.”

Penny Junor is a royal biographer, and she considers Meghan and Harry’s chat with King to be “a shocking breach of trust.” She added, “The family will worry that anything they say to Harry will end up on American television.”

A source from the palace announced that the royal family will not be sharing information about private conversations with the media. “None of the households – the Queen, Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – will be giving a running commentary on private conversations.”

The royal family said in an official statement that they want to work things out privately. It only makes sense that they would be upset that Meghan and Harry have chosen not to keep their lives private. However, according to what King revealed, “Meghan and Harry are upset “that the palace keeps saying they want to work it out privately, but yet they believe these false stories are coming out that are very disparaging against Meghan still.”

Do you think Meghan and Harry should have refrained from talking to King about private conversations? Do you think King should have refrained from sharing her conversation with the Sussex’s on live TV? Do you think the royal family will be able to reconcile with Meghan and Harry?
