Kim Cattrall Has Subtle Reaction to the Sex and The City Reboot

Many “Sex and the City” fans were overjoyed when it became official that there was going to be a reboot of the popular show. The last time we had seen the four friends together was during “Sex and the City – The Movie.” That was more than a decade ago. Fans were ready for more.

Unfortunately, not everyone was excited about a reboot of the show. Way back when the movie was being filmed, one of the main actresses made it clear that she no longer wanted to be part of the series. Actress Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha, said she was done playing Samantha.

Cattrall has previously explained that the original series required long hours with some days being as long as 18 hours. She blames the show for her divorce and claims it’s the reason she doesn’t have children. She’s over it. She has moved on.

The other three friends from the original series, Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Miranda, played by Cynthia Nixon, and Charlotte, played by Kristin Davis, are all back together again on screen for the new series. In the first episode of “And Just Like That,” the friends even address Samantha’s absence, explaining that Carrie fired her, and she moved to London. Now, she apparently refuses to talk to any of her three old friends.

Not everyone is loving the new series with Samantha’s notable absence, and not everyone is loving how the producers attempted to explain away her absence. While Cattrall has not come out and specifically talked about her feelings about not being part of the new show, she has expressed her feelings very subtly. Watch the video below to learn more.

Do you think Cattrall will ever make an appearance on “And Just Like That”? If you have watched the new series, do you think it will be just as successful as the original even though Cattrall is missing from the show?
