British supermodel Kate Moss recently testified for Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

In early May, Heard had referenced an incident in March 2015 between Depp and Moss, alluding to the fact that he pushed her down the stairs. She was discussing an incident on a staircase between Depp and Heard’s sister, Whitney Henriquez, which was “in the line of fire … trying to get Johnny to stop,” saying that it reminded her of the rumored incident between Moss and Depp—that he allegedly pushed her down a flight of stairs.

“[Whitney’s] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her,” Heard testified. “I don’t hesitate, I don’t wait — I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs. And I swung at him.”

“In all of my relationship to date with Johnny, I hadn’t landed a blow. And I, for the first time, hit him — like, actually hit him. Square in the face,” Heard added. “He didn’t push my sister down the stairs.”

In a previous testimony, Heard stated: “I remembered information I had heard [that] he pushed a former girlfriend — I believe it was Kate Moss — down the stairs. I had heard this rumor from two people and it was fresh in my mind.”

In her testimony, Moss was asked about the time, but Moss explained that she fell down the stairs after a rainstorm during their vacation in Jamaica—so the stairs were very wet—but Depp in no way pushed her.

“We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did. There had been a rainstorm. As I left the room, I slid down the stairs and I hurt my back,” she said under oath. “I screamed because I didn’t know what happened to me and I was in pain. He came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention.”

“He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any stairs,” she added.

Moss and Depp dated for four years—from 1994 to 1998. Depp and Heard got married in 2015 and split in 2016. She filed for divorce before seeking a domestic violence restraining order against him on claims of abuse. Depp has said, under oath, that he never abused Heard (or any woman, for that matter); however, Heard continues to testify of times Depp has allegedly done anything from slap, choke, kick or sexually assault her. She also admitted to hitting him, and both admitted to have been verbally “nasty” to one another.
