Johnny Depp Details Severed Fingers Incident in Defamation Trial Against Amber Heard

Back in 2009, while filming “The Rum Diary,” Johnny Depp met Amber Heard. They ended up getting married.

When Depp first met Heard, he thought she was “the perfect partner.” His recent testimony in court revealed that Depp considered Heard “sweet, funny, nice, all those things.” Oh, how things have changed.

In 2018, Heard wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post in which she talked about her experience with domestic violence. Although she didn’t mention Depp by name, the timing of it made it seem that she was calling Depp the source of the abuse.

In 2019, Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against Heard. He claimed Heard’s op-ed hurt his career and his reputation. He also claimed her accusations were false.

According to Depp, the point of the lawsuit is mainly to clear his name for the sake of his children. He explained, “I thought it was diabolical that my children would have to go to school and have their friends and people in the school approach them with the infamous ‘People’ magazine cover with Ms. Heard with a dark bruise on her face.” He emphasized, “My goal is the truth.”

Now, in 2022, Depp has finally taken the stand to testify. Besides revealing how he felt about Heard when they first met, he also described growing up with an abusive mother and moving to Los Angeles as a musician not an actor. According to Depp, he never set out to be an actor and has never even seen “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Besides telling bits and pieces of his life story, Depp also testified that Heard has physically abused him with her violent behavior. For example, he recalled a time that he and Heard were at a bar in Australia and she threw a bottle of vodka at him which severed his finger.

Watch the video below to hear Depp describe the severed finger incident in detail including the fact that he “didn’t feel the pain at first at all.”

Do you believe Depp is innocent? Do you believe Heard is innocent? Do you believe they are both guilty of abuse? Do you think Depp’s career and reputation will be able to recover from Heard’s accusations?
