Japanese Billionaire In Search of a Lover to Accompany Him on a Trip to the Moon
Maezawa earned his billions in the fashion industry, but he has also gained attention as a drummer in a punk band. Now, he’s set to be the first ever tourist to travel around the moon courtesy of SpaceX.
Fame and money may not buy happiness though. Maezawa is single and very publicly looking for a life-partner. Via tweet, he asked, “Why not be the ‘first woman’ to travel to the moon?”

The same tweet links to a website that spells out Maezawa’s search for a life-partner.
He has a long-held dream of going into space. He wants to visit such a special place together with a special someone. Through serious one-on-one planned matchmaking, Maezawa looks to find his life partner.
The application deadline is coming up fast – January 17th. Maezawa will decide on his life partner in March.
It doesn’t exactly sound romantic, but perhaps this “planned matchmaking” will work. Who knows?
For more on this interesting and unusual story, watch the video below.
Besides the winning lady from this matchmaking competition, Maezawa has also said that he will be taking artists with him on the flight.
It has not be revealed how much Maezawa paid SpaceX for this upcoming flight, but Elon Musk himself said it was “a lot of money.” We bet.
What do you think about Maezawa’s approach to finding a life partner to go with him to the moon? Do you think he has ulterior motives?
