You Can Now Get Your Thrills By Taking a Ride Through a Haunted Car Wash In Ohio

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not recommend activities like traditional trick-or-treating in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. That does not in any way mean that Halloween is canceled. In fact, it is just causing people across the country to get more creative about how they will celebrate this year.

Some parents have come up with ways to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters while maintaining social distancing. Other events, such as this one in California, have made changes to become a drive-thru experience.

If you happen to live in or near Medina, Ohio, there’s another fun drive-thru experience just for Halloween. This one happens to combine a haunted house with a car wash. That’s right; you can get your car cleaned while enjoying a family-friendly Halloween experience.

The car wash is called Rainforest Car Wash, and while they have more than one location, only the Medina location will offer the haunted experience. Drivers are greeted by people in creepy costumes, and then they proceed into the haunted car wash where they will see evil clowns, demons and haunted scenes as their car proceeds through the car wash tunnel.

The haunted car wash is only available for two weekends in October. Halloween fans can enjoy the experience Friday October 16th through Sunday October 18th and again Friday October 23rd through Sunday October 25th. The experience is open from 5pm-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays and from 3pm-6pm on Sundays.

This actually isn’t the first year for the haunted car wash. According to WEWS, Rainforest Car Wash had their first haunted car wash experience last year in 2019. Here is a video from last year’s haunted car wash that shows a glimpse of what car owners can experience this year.

The spooky ride only costs $20, which seems like a bargain for a car wash combined with Halloween fun.

How are you going to celebrate Halloween this year? Do you think more car washes should try this haunted car wash experience idea?
