Most of us need to keep our vehicles full of gas so that we can drive to and from work and take our kids to school. We also use our vehicles to do fun things like go on road trips, or drive to our favorite restaurant for dinner.

With gas prices skyrocketing, many people might start to rethink how they get from point A to point B or find other ways to cut back in spending to make up for the rising costs of fuel.

This week, gas prices hit the highest national average ever. We’re all feeling pain at the pump.

With spring break on the horizon and summer vacation just months later, many people already have travel plans or were planning on making travel plans soon. The price of fuel might impact those plans.

If you think flying to your destination instead of driving will save you money, think again. Airplanes need fuel too, and due to rising costs, airplane tickets also cost more than they would otherwise.

Even though gas prices are at an all-time high, they’re not done going up. There is currently no end in sight. In fact, prices are expected to remain high at least through Labor Day. That’s right – at least through the end of the summer.

Average gas prices in the United States are over $4 per gallon, but they could go up much higher, even as much as $5 per gallon or more depending on where you live. In California, gas prices are already over $5 and actually closer to $6 per gallon.
