All Living Former Presidents, Except for Trump, Team Up to Promote Getting Vaccinated
Now that there are three COVID-19 vaccines approved for emergency use authorization in the United States, more and more people have had the opportunity to get vaccinated. As time goes on, vaccination eligibility will open up to even more people until anyone who wants to get vaccinated will be able to get vaccinated.
Not everyone is lining up for the vaccine. People have different reasons to be hesitant about rolling up their sleeve, but according to Barak Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, there is no reason to hesitate.
All the above mentioned living former Presidents and their wives have come together to promote the COVID-19 vaccines in a new campaign called “It’s Up to You.” It’s worth mentioning that the most recent former President is notably missing from the campaign. Former president Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump did not participate in the campaign.
In one of the “It’s up to You” videos, we see the former Presidents talk about what they are looking forward to doing after they get vaccinated. Then we see the Presidents and the former First Ladies get vaccinated.
In another video that’s part of the “It’s Up to You” campaign, we see former Presidents Barak Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton standing together but in a socially distant way while they explain why it is important to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
President Biden got vaccinated on camera at the end of 2020 when he was still the President-elect. Even though he didn’t get vaccinated on camera, former President Trump did receive the vaccine in January.
Why do you think former President Trump didn’t participate in the “It’s Up to You” campaign? Does it surprise you that former Presidents Clinton, Bush, Obama and Carter stayed true to their promise to get vaccinated on camera? Does watching these former Presidents get vaccinated make you feel more confident about getting the COVID-19 vaccine yourself?
