The New ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Cast Includes a Bachelorette, a ‘Queer Eye’ Guy, and Trump’s Former Press Secretary

One thing we love about reality TV shows is that they bring a diverse group of people together to work towards a common goal and compete for a prize. It’s interesting to see how people of different ages and with different backgrounds step up, and it’s interesting to see the competitive streak come out.

Reality shows that feature celebrity contestants are even more interesting. These shows bring together musicians, athletes, actors, reality TV stars and sometimes even politicians. It’s definitely a diverse group.

Now, we’re geared up and excited about the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 28, because we finally know who the cast is!

We already knew “Bachelorette” Hannah Brown was going to be competing on the show, but now we know “Queer Eye” star Karamo Brown and NBA star Lamar Odom will be joining her on the show.

Other famous faces include actor James Van Der Beek of “Dawson’s Creek” fame, Kel Mitchell, who you probably recognize from “All That,” and actress Kate Flannery from “The Office.” Model Christie Brinkley, country singer Lauren Alaina, Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke, and Mary Wilson from The Supremes will also be competing for the mirror ball.

Proving that this is a very diverse group, former NFL star Ray Lewis and former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer will also be taking to the dance floor.

Good Morning America revealed the contestants on August 21, 2019, and they also revealed a twist. This season, the show is not announcing which professional dancers will be paired with which celebrities. All we know is that new dancers Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov will be joining the following professional dancers from seasons past: Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Cheryl Burke, Emma Slater, Gleb Savchenko, Jenna Johnson, Keo Motsepe, Lindsay Arnold, Peta Murgatroyd, Sasha Farber, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Witney Carson. We’ll have to wait until the show airs to know who will be dancing with whom.

Watch the official announcement and see the new cast show off some of their dance moves in the video below.
