Buckingham Palace Has Opened an Investigation into Duchess Meghan Bullying Allegations

Meghan Markle and Price Harry have been pretty vocal about how the British press has treated them. In fact, during an interview with James Corden, Harry said that one of the main reasons they decided to step down as senior royals was due to unfair treatment from the press.

Just because Meghan and Harry moved away doesn’t mean that the unfair treatment has stopped, at least in their eyes. In a preview of their tell-all interview with Oprah, Meghan even accuses the royal family of spreading lies about her. Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has accused Meghan of bullying staff members, and they have launched an investigation. Is the timing a coincidence? Probably not.

A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry claims that all of the bullying accusations against Meghan are complete lies. In a statement to NBC, the spokesperson called it a “smear campaign” and explained, “It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining The Duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and The Duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years.”

Robert Jobson spoke to George Stephanopoulos about this unprecedented accusation and investigation by Buckingham Palace. He explained that although the investigation is currently focused on Meghan, he believes that it will eventually go beyond her to other members of the royal family. Watch the video below for more details.

In a CBS clip from Meghan and Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah, Meghan claims the royal family is “perpetuating falsehoods” about her. At first glance, this seems like her response to Buckingham Palace’s investigation into claims that she bullied staff members, but as British talk show host Lorraine pointed out on her show, the Oprah interview was filmed long before these bullying accusations were made. That means, Meghan must be referring to other supposed lies.

Do you think Meghan really bullied staff members? Do you think Buckingham Palace is only launching this investigation to discredit Meghan before her interview with Oprah airs? Which other members of the royal family do you think will be involved in the investigation?
