What We Know So Far About Britney Spears’ Intimate Wedding

Just last year, Britney Spears was being denied the right to marry who she wanted and fighting to end the conservatorship that controlled her life. Now, as a free bird and no longer controlled by her father, she has officially wed fitness trainer Sam Asghari.

Britney and Sam have been together since 2016, getting engaged in September 2021. The two tied the knot in a small ceremony (about 60 people) in the backyard of her home in Thousand Oaks, California, on June 9, 2022.

With the wedding being so small, it turns out that, unsurprisingly, many members of Britney’s family were not invited, including her parents, Lynn and Jamie, and her younger sister, Jamie Lynn. They have all had a large public falling out since the conservatorship.

Additionally, her sons she had with ex Kevin Federline, 16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden James, were also not in attendance, though they were invited. They had opted not to go with concerns that over concerns that it all might be a bit too “overwhelming” for them. Alas, Federline stated that even though they weren’t there, the boys especially were “happy for Britney and wish her and Sam all the best going forward.”

The only family member of Britney’s in attendance seemed to be her brother, Ryan. The guest list was mostly friends, which included, Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, Drew Barrymore, Ansel Elgort, Selena Gomez, will.i.am, and Maria Menounos. Even Madonna showed up!

As far as attire, Britney looked gorgeous in a custom off-the-shoulder Versace gown designed by Donatella Versace. The dress had a high slit along the side, and she wore a classic white veil on her head. Her jewelry came in at 62 carats in total, and she donned a natural makeup look by Charlotte and Sofia Tilbury.

When it came to décor, Britney kept everything pretty classic, with blush fabrics and pink roses. “We really wanted to make this a small and beautiful moment with family and friends,” she told Vogue. “We wanted warm and feminine colors including blush, white, cream, and gold, and a lot of various shades of pinks, blush, and reds.”
