Incredible Toy Soldier Performance You Won’t Want to Miss

Toy soldiers are one of the most classic symbols of the holidays. Whether they’re a children’s toy or a fun trinket to crack open a few walnuts, they’re one of the most easily recognizable symbols of the Christmas season.

You especially see them in traditional holiday movies, like the world-famous film, “Babes in Toyland” and the incredible ballet “The Nutcracker.” In both, the “March of the Wooden Soldiers” dance is one of the most iconic performances you’ll ever see, where stoic soldiers all dressed-to-the-nines do amazing synchronized movements.

But this video of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes doing the famous march might be the best we’ve ever seen.

As the video begins, we see 36 striking performers, all in stunning soldier uniforms and standing perfectly upright. The soldiers’ movements are in perfect unison as they shuffle around the stage into various formations – and right off the bat, you can tell their routine has the audience completely captivated.

The music playing in the background is sweet and childlike that really puts you in the Christmas spirit! It’s impossible to look away from the perfectly timed movements of the dancers, all leading up to the grand finale of the show; a scene in which the toy soldiers are “shot” by a cannon.

No, they’re not ACTUALLY shot, but they do the most impressive move. The dancers interlock arms and falling to the ground, one after the other, so that they look like a row of dominoes being knocked over!

Honestly, we could watch the entire performance over and over, but this one part is absolutely hypnotizing.

The entire performance is the perfect thing to watch this holiday season! If you have an appreciation for dance or if you love these cheery holiday dance numbers, then this Radio City performance will be a new part of your Christmas tradition.
