If the seemingly endless amounts of HGTV shows are any indication of how the American public feels about house buying, then it’s safe to say that we are obsessed with all things homeownership. But what’s really fascinating about this phenomenon is the fact that kiddos are tuning in, too—and some have even become quite savvy on the topic.

Take the case of Lilli Ojeda, for instance. In today’s viral video, the grade-schooler is filmed by her older sis, Layla, as she excitedly assesses a contender in her family’s house-hunting mission.

A girl finds her dream home

It all starts out with the effervescent Lilli walking into this empty home’s kitchen with her mother, sister, and stepdad. While the adults survey the open area, Lilli takes the opportunity to twirl around in it. It’s clear that the girl is really digging the extra dining room space.

Once she has done a half dozen pirouettes, she moves on to the attached living room. Her big sis seems to be enamored by the floating shelves that the previous owners left behind, but Lilli’s attention is focused on the built-in entertainment center.

She reaches her hand to a small light and wonders aloud, “What is this?” before flicking a switch. Right then, the family is met with bright, glowing lights. Lilli’s stepfather comes over to demonstrate that they can actually go from blue to green to practically everywhere in between. How slick is that?!

Next, the family moves on to take a look at the bedrooms. Surprisingly, Lilli’s not too smitten with the first one she comes across. Sure, it’s a nice space, and the lighting is quite good, as her sister remarks, but there on one of the walls is a MASSIVE Oakland A’s team logo. It’s just a tad out of place. Maybe the girl would be hotter about this space if she were a baseball fan!

Even though that first bedroom wasn’t her first choice, she doesn’t let that stop her from checking out the rest of the digs. Little Lilli finds a bathtub that she can really get behind; she takes a quick look at it and quickly decides that this would be a good place to try out some new bath bombs.

Now, we think it’s important to remind you that, up until this point Lilli only knows what she has been told. Her family just said that they were taking a look at a potential home, but it turns out that they had been keeping a secret from the girl.

You see, they had actually already purchased the house, but wanted to wait to tell Lilli once everything was finalized. In the meantime, they came up with a very creative way to let her know that this would be her new home. Spoiler alert: there ARE tears of joy involved!
