Did your dog or cat recently leave you a little “surprise” your perfectly clean carpet? Don’t panic. There’s an easy way to lift the stain altogether with the powder duo of homemade cleaners (baking soda and vinegar).

Here’s the tip from Shauna over at One Good Thing by Jillee:

• Pour enough vinegar over the stain to soak in completely.
• Next, add a small amount of baking soda to the entire area.
• Let the spot dry for a day or two. You can cover the area with a plate to contain the baking soda.
• After a day or two, sweep up the baking soda and vacuum the stain away!
