The Delicious Reason We Should All Cut Our Burgers into Rings

You don’t get easier or more basic than an all-American burger. The burger is a go-to favorite, pretty much beloved nationwide – and for good reason! Who doesn’t love a juicy burger, covered in melted cheese, sandwiched between a nice toasted bun? No one can turn that down.

But, no matter how much we love our traditional burger, sometimes you’ve got to shake things up! Dave Hax shows us one way by simply cutting a hole in a burger and filling it in with an unexpected ingredient. We won’t give it away, but we’ll give you a hint: the doughnut shape isn’t the only thing “breakfast-y” about this burger twist!

Here’s what you’ll need to take your hum-drum burgers to the next level:

Breakfast Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • Coriander
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. Mustard
  • Salt and Pepper

Combine these ingredients in a small mixing bowl to create an extremely flavorful burger. Grab a handful of meat and mold it into a patty shape, laying it out on a cutting board for the next interesting step.

One material you’ll need that’s not an “ingredient” exactly, is a small drinking glass. This is what you’ll use next to create the hole in the center of your patty. There should still be enough of a burger “ring” that it won’t fall apart when you put it in your frying pan to cook.

What you do next is really going to take your burgers to the next level! Like we said, we’re not giving it away, but any breakfast lovers are going to go nuts for this little surprise inside. Make sure to watch the Dave Hax video below to see what it is and to see the entire burger being made, step-by-step.
