Here’s How to Get Rid of that Gel Polish at Home and Save Your Nails

Gel polishes are amazing. They let us wear nail polish without chips for weeks at a time and they look amazing. But when it comes time to remove gel polishes, that peeling or sanding can leave your nails frail and thin. They’ve even been known to break, which is just appalling to think about. So what’s the safest way to remove your gel polish? You definitely don’t want to stop using your gels! Watch the video below to see how it’s done in this step-by-step tutorial.

YOU’LL NEED
– Cotton balls
– Acetone
– Nail groomer
– Aluminum Foil

Step 1: Break up one cotton ball into ten small pieces.
Step 2: Dip each piece into the acetone.
Step 3: Place one piece on top of each nail bed.
Step 4: Wrap a piece of aluminum foil around the nail.
Step 5: Let soak for 5-10 minutes.
Step 6: Use the nail groomer to peel away polish, going AWAY from the cuticle.
Step 7: Swipe one last time with acetone.

This is the ideal way to remove your polish look without swearing off gels and keeping your nails healthy!
