Greta is only 50 years old, but she doesn’t look as young and vibrant as she would like to. So for this milestone birthday, her husband gave her a gift certificate to The Makeover Guy, in an effort to help his lovely wife look as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside!

She may have put off the makeover for some time, but she finally made the time to cash in on her head-to-toe transformation. And, best of all, she came in with nothing in particular in mind.

It might sound like this would be annoying for Christopher (a.k.a. The Makeover Guy) but Greta specifies that he can do WHATEVER he wants. Now that is something he likes to hear! With free reign on his side, Christopher begins Greta’s incredible transformation.

He does ask her for a little guidance along the way, asking for example how she wore her hair in high school. Greta responds that she feathered her ‘do back in the day, which we think gave Christopher the inspiration for her final look.

Greta naturally has light blonde hair, so the team of stylists starts by freshening her fair coloring. Her hair, which has grown to an unflattering style around Greta’s face, gets a serious chop; probably a foot of unhealthy hair is cut off, leaving Greta with an adorable (and flattering) pixie cut.

The makeup team also came in and showed Greta how to do soft, natural makeup that lights the high points of her face in just the right way. It seems like they gave her some great makeup tips that look fabulous on her AND are easy to replicate at home.

When all was said and done, Greta looks incredible! She doesn’t just look like the beautiful 50-year-old she is, she looks like a beautiful 40-year-old instead! This makeover truly does turn back time for Greta and she absolutely can’t stop smiling after seeing her gorgeous transformation.

Her favorite part? The flip in the back of her hair, which we think was inspired by the old, feathered hairstyle she was telling Christopher about! This detail gives some sass and dimension to the cut without being too extreme; it’s a fabulous but mature call-back to that popular 70’s style.

Needless to say, The Makeover Guy totally nailed it again.

When the camera crew comes out in the waiting room, Greta’s husband is waiting anxiously to see his wife’s new look. He seems really nervous to see her, or maybe to be on camera! Either way, he barely knows what to say when he sees Greta’s beautiful new hairstyle and makeup.

Our favorite part of the video below is the hilarious commentary an onlooker gives when Greta’s husband isn’t jumping to his feet to great his stunning wife. You have to watch it for yourself, it made us crack up!
