Crockpot “Squeezed” Chicken

I cook a whole chicken in the crockpot then pick off the meat and refrigerate and put the bones and the skin back in the crock pot with a couple of cups of water, some fresh sage from the garden and any veggies in the fridge like carrots or onions and cook it all again for several hours to make broth. Strain and add to chicken previously picked off.

This way I have squeezed all the good I can from 1 bird and a few leftover veggies.

Use the chicken and broth by itself or with noodles (homemade are cheaper and taste better) or rice or thicken and serve with mashed potatos. Two people can eat off this for 3 meals!
