How to Decorate a Pumpkin With a Cookie Cutter

Want to get picture-perfect carved pumpkins? The trick has been hiding under our noses this whole time! Better Homes and Gardens shows us why cookie cutters are for way more than just cookies— and the super-fun way to use them this Halloween. Check it out!

Firstly, make sure you’re using sturdy, metal cookie cutters for this project. You’ll also want to make sure you’ve got a mallet on hand. Clean and prep your pumpkin and you’re ready to go!

The best thing about this project is that you can use any variety of Halloween-themed (or not!) cookie cutters to make a totally unique decorated pumpkin. No more messy carving and uneven lines. Then when you’re finished, you can throw a faux candle inside to light up your design. We’re thinking that carving a hole in the bottom of your pumpkin would be best for this project.
