Apple Cinnamon Sangria That’s Great for Winter

Sangria isn’t just for summer anymore. This yummy sangria recipe would be perfect for Thanskgiving or any holiday party you’ve got coming up (or maybe even a a plan old weekend evening). Make 8 servings of this tasty sangria with this recipe from Better Homes and Gardens:

You’ll need:

-1/2 cup dried apples
-1/2 cup dried cranberries
-6 dried apricots (cut into slivers)
-1/4 cup brandy
-2 tablespoons honey
-1/2 of a vanilla bean, slit lengthwise
-(1) 2 3/4 inch stick of cinnamon
-(1) 750 milliliter bottle of Rioja red wine or Merlot
-2 cups of club soda

Here’s what you do:

Stir together your apples, cranberries, raisins, apricots, brandy, honey, vanilla bean and cinnamon in a large saucepan. Cook and stir until your mixture comes to a gentle boil. When that happens, remove from heat and cool a bit. Stir in the wine and transfer to a pitcher. Cover pitcher and chill for up to 24 hours to let flavors mix. Before you serve, stir in the club soda. Enjoy in glasses over ice.
