3 More Secrets for Saving at Starbucks

We’ve shared some secrets before on saving money when you decide to splurge at Starbucks, but we found some more great tips to share with you from Grocery Alerts. Take a look:
  1. Easy on the Ice:

When you order a cold drink from Starbuck or any restaurant, you’re likely to get a cup that 3/4 full with ice. Instead of paying extra for a Venti iced drink, why not order a size down and ask that the barista go easy on the ice. That way, you’re paying less for a drink that has more beverage and less ice.

  2. Ditch Bottled Water and Save with Starbucks’ Triple Filtered Water:

Starbucks water is at a minimum triple filtered. This means it’s just as clean as bottled water but without the plastic waste. It’s good for the environment to drink Starbucks triple filtered water.

So if you get a bottled water from Starbucks, you’re truly wasting money. Just ask for a tap water. The quality is sure to be good and best of all, it’s free!

  3. Venti vs. Grande: How Much Caffeine?

If you’re ordering a Venti drink because you think you need more caffeine, you’re also wasting money:

There is no difference in the amount of caffeine between a Venti or Grande latte and cappuccino. That might surprise some of you Starbucks lovers but if you’re in it for the caffeine, don’t bother with Venti. Both a Grande and Venti contain 2 espresso shots the only difference is that you will be paying more for a Venti because that’s more milk.

If you want extra milk in your drink, just ask for a Grande in a Venti cup and add your own extra milk at the condiment bar.
