According to Frugal Traveler columnist Seth Kugel, the key to finding the cheapest airfares is really to look everywhere. And there may be 2 key ways that we’re doing it the wrong way.

Firstly, if you’re flying internationally, there are certain sites that won’t give you the best options, or even good options at all. Kugel suggests a site called Vayama if you’re looking for an airfare aggregator and you’re flying internationally.

Secondly, when it comes to international travel, you want to make sure you’re checking as many airlines as you can. Simply head to Wikipedia to find a list of airlines for each country you’re traveling to/from, then check out those airlines’ sites. Often times, the way to find the cheapest airfares in to go directly to the airline’s site:
