TikTok User Points Out a Vocal Tick of Jennifer Anniston’s, and It’s Ruining ‘Friends’ For Lots of People

If you’re a ‘Friends’ fan, you may want to stop reading this now. We’re about to point something out about one of the main characters that you’re never going to be able to un-hear, and it could potentially ruin you watching the show forever since you’ll just be so focused on it.

The discovery is all thanks to TikTok user, “cts.trphe,” who responded to the question, “What is a trope in the media that once you see it, you can’t unsee it?” His response went viral, racking up millions of views and likes from people who never noticed it before.

“If you are a big fan of the show, I’m begging you, scroll away, because I’m going to ruin your life,” the user warns before he tells us the sighting.

And then, he lets us having it: “Jennifer Aniston has this vocal tick that she does at the beginning of every single sentence that she starts on any show that she’s in,” he explained. “It’s very specific and it’s very hard to unsee once you notice it.”

It doesn’t sound that bad at first, but then he then proceeds to play multiple clips of Anniston in Friends clearing her throat in a very specific manner right before she speaks. It’s literally every single time she’s about to say something; a quick clear of the throat and then she says her line.

Still doesn’t sound too crazy? Check out the video below to see what we mean.

For such a famous actress who has starred in not only Friends, but tons of other movies and TV shows, we wonder how this has never been talked about before! Does she do it in other movies or TV shows? Why does she do it in the first place? Has anyone else noticed this before it was put out into the world? There are so many questions left unanswered!

While we go and analyze all of her movies, check out these other clips from Friends where she’s doing the noise over and over again before speaking.

Have you ever noticed Anniston’s vocal tick before? Will it be the main focus every time you watch something with her in it now, or it doesn’t bother you much? Have you ever noticed any other actors or actresses that do something similar?
