Have you been able to get your hands on some hand sanitizer during the coronavirus outbreak? Chances are, you haven’t, since it has been one of the hottest commodities, where most stores in the United States, as well as other countries (and even online sites like Amazon), continue to sell out.

It’s true that hand sanitizers one of the best ways to kill germs on your hands fast, but most people don’t need more than one bottle at a time. However, that doesn’t stop people from buying multiple at a time. In fact, some stores have even tried implementing a one-per-customer limit—and people are still finding ways to hoard it.

However, one store in Denmark has recently come up with a brilliant solution to basically guarantee that sanitizers are still stocked on shelves, even during this pandemic.

The supermarket, called Rotunden, has increased the price of their hand sanitizers to an astronomical amount—but only on the second bottle purchased. At their current price, one bottle of sanitizer will run you 40 DKK ($4.09) but if you buy two bottles, your bill jumps to 1,000 DKK ($95). This basically forbids people from buying more than one (unless people are that desperate for several bottles!).

The store also noted that they’d really respect it if families who came into the store together allow only one person to purchase the purchases if possible.

“We have a great responsibility to keep the business running, and we can only do that with everyone’s help and understanding,” the company explains in a letter to the public.

We think this is a great way to ensure everyone can get at least one bottle! Now if only they’d implement the same policy on toilet paper…
