Tom Brady Says He’s Returning As Tampa Bay Quarterback Just 6 Weeks After Announcing Retirement

On February 1, 2022, Tom Brady announced on Instagram that he was retiring from football. He claimed that he had spent a lot of time thinking about his decision and that it seemed like the right move. He wrote, “This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”

Many of his fans were disappointed that he wouldn’t be playing football anymore, and those fans are probably ecstatic at Brady’s most recent announcement. He has changed his mind and will not be retiring after all.

It seems that retirement didn’t sit well with Brady, at least not yet. It has only been 5 weeks since he announced his retirement and already he couldn’t take it any longer.

On March 13, 2022, Brady announced on both Twitter and Instagram that he would be returning for his 23rd season of playing professional football, and he will be returning to Tampa Bay.

Brady wrote, “These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.”

According to Brady, LeBron James convinced him to change his mind about retiring.

Are you surprised that Brady will be returning to football for a 23rd season? Do you think he made the right decision by deciding not to retire yet after all? How many more years do you think Brady will end up playing football before he really retires?
