Crazy as it seems, Thanksgiving is upon us faster than we’d like to think. If you’re planning on heading to a potluck dinner come the end of November, you need a dish that’s going to be easy to whip up, unlike anything else on the spread, and a total crowd-pleaser. Luckily, we have just the dish for you!

Casseroles are always a go-to winner, especially for the holiday season. Not only are they the ultimate soul-warming comfort food (perfect for a chilly Thanksgiving or Christmas day), but they’re easy to make, too.

All you have to do to pull off the perfect casserole is pile on layers of flavors and bake. It’s that easy.

But just because this is a simple format for a side dish, you shouldn’t settle for a less-than-delicious casserole recipe! Instead, you should definitely try this unbelievable corn casserole, from MyRecipes.

For anyone wondering what corn casserole is, trust us, it’s delicious. Corn casserole is a sweet, moist side dish, with an amazing consistency and just a hint of corn. It kind of reminds me of a big, warm slice of corn bread. Yeah, it’s amazing.

Best all of, it’s extremely easy to make. And we’re not just saying that, either.

With only seven ingredients (one of which is just cooking spray) you’re already off to a good start. But essentially, all you do is mix the six ingredients, pour the mixture into a greased baking pan, and bake for 45 minutes. When you’re done, you’ll have a crispy, warm casserole that could pass for dessert as well as a side dish!

This side dish can be made in under an hour, which you’ll be hard-pressed to find true for any Thanksgiving dish! (Except for jarred cranberry sauce, but that doesn’t count.) That means that you can literally make this the morning of your potluck dinner/lunch, and bring it to the party fresh and warm.

You are going to be the hit of the dinner party!

Truthfully, the one time I brought this dish to a Thanksgiving dish, the casserole dish was empty in just a couple minutes! People couldn’t get enough of the sweet, crunchy texture, and I got all the praise for this amazing recipe. Little did they know it was so incredibly easy to make.
