Generally speaking, most of the things parents ride their kids about are only in the kids’ best interest. Eat your vegetables, put on sunscreen, go to bed before midnight, ect. But that doesn’t mean the kid wants to hear it. In fact, a fit is usually thrown.

Well, dog parents can tell you the SAME EXACT THING happens to them. Our fluffy friends can’t argue and cry in exactly the same way — but they certainly have their own techniques.

A stellar example of this is this stubborn bull mastiff puppy, who is up well past his bedtime. His owner knows this and tries to get him to go to sleep, but the pup is moving one inch from his favorite spot — which is, ironically, the foot of his dad’s bed.

In an effort to get himself to sleep, too, this owner takes some drastic measures to get his dog from the foot of his bed and into the right one! He does the only thing he can: he gently pushes the dog along the carpet to his bed.

The bull mastiff is completely unphased and is just looking up at his dad innocently. It almost looks like he wants to play, but we can only imagine it’s a little too late in the day for playtime.

When the dog won’t get up to physically get into his bed (which his owner has pushed him right to the edge of), the owner tries to lift his dog into bed. But for anyone who doesn’t know, bull mastiffs are BIG, even as puppies. It takes him a few times to try and pick up his dog, with the bull mastiff completely limp and not helping at all!

Finally, he manages to get the dog onto his feet —  and the pup promptly runs away from his bed!

The owner (who is probably exhausted and really needs sleep at this point) managed to catch him by the backside and turn the mastiff towards his bed. But the dog takes control of the situation again by just laying down, right back where he started.

We definitely feel for the owner, but the dog looks into the camera with the saddest look on his face at this point! He really doesn’t like that bed for some reason.

In the last few moments of the video, the owner does the last thing he can to get the bull mastiff into his bed. You have to watch the video below to see for yourself, his final technique is hilarious!

Unfortunately, the video does end before someone wins this battle of will, but we have a feeling the owner may have pulled it off.
