Petition to ‘Stop Interviewing’ Will and Jada Pinkett Smith Has Received Over 13,500 Signatures

Typically, commonplace folk can be nosy about celebrities’ lives. We always want to know their whereabouts, who they’re dating, their family history of diseases…

But when it comes to Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, we just want it to stop. No. More. Interviewing. Them! In fact, these two get so much press that there was a Change.org petition created, insisting that the media stop interviewing the couple—and it’s such a popular notion that it has so far collected more than 13,500 signatures!

The initial target signatures was 5,000, but when over 11,000 signed by midday after the page started, the target soon was raised to 15,000. And we’re pretty confident that the original creator, Dexter Morales is going to hit that goal.

In the petition, people are able to leave their reasoning behind their signature. Here are just a few:

“Everything I learn about this couple is against my will. Free us.”

“I’m sick and tired of hearing the BS that goes on in their personal lives. It’s exhausting. I’ve muted their names everywhere, AND STILL SEE THIS!! … Make it STOP!!!”

“They keep shoving their personal lives down our throats and frankly, we do not care! Attention seeking is a mental illness and they need to get help.”

“I’ve learned more about this family in the past 3 months than I have in the last 10 years.”

“I’M TIRED OF HEARING THESE GODDAMN STORIES!”

Whew—is that reason enough?

It really does seem like the two are always spreading the most intimidate details about their relationship. The petition was created a month after Will Smith appeared on Good Morning America where and said that he and Jada are working on “unconditional love” and that they “arepursuing the kind of love that everybody dreams about. And we just know that the road don’t look like everybody think it’s supposed to look. But…don’t try this at home, children.”

In September, Will also said in a GQ cover story that Jada wasn’t “the only one engaging in other sexual relationships.” He then explained, “We have given each other trust and freedom, with the belief that everybody has to find their own way. And marriage for us can’t be a prison.”

Jada also talks her fair share about the relationship, especially on Red Table Talk. Though she runs the series with her daughter Willow and mother Adreienne Banfeld-Norris, it’s mostly Jada confessing things about her sex life, thoughts on a Brazilan butt lift, doing ecstasy, and more.
