Question for all of you world travelers out there: Have you ever been the ONLY passenger on a flight before? We know, we know, it pretty much sounds like a dream–no screaming babies, pushy passengers, or long waits for beverages. But, believe it or not, this dream was actually a reality for one lucky traveler!

This all went down when a woman by the name of Latsamy, who goes by the handle @worldsmyoyster on Instagram, boarded a Bangkok Airways flight leaving from Bangkok to Koh Samui. It must have seemed like a routine flight–until she realized that she had NO fellow passengers.

Once I was the lone passenger on a @bangkokairways flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui. It was exciting and amusing at first. They turned to face only me when doing the safety briefing, they let me run up and down the aisles, dancing by myself, I was treated to unlimited food and drink for my short flight. But then it started to get bumpy, really bumpy. Next thing I know we were circling the island for an additional 30 minutes trying to land the plane on what should have been an hour long flight. I began to worry that this was some type of Final Destination flight and it was my time to go. Luckily, the pilot was able to land on the island relatively smoothly and now I have a funny Insta-story to share! Enjoy 😉

We’re not going to lie, unlimited food and drinks and running up and down the aisles sounds pretty amazing–but that whole terrifyingly-bumpy ride doesn’t. It’s good to hear that this world traveler got to her destination safely, even if it does mean she was the only one to arrive!
