A Walk in Closet in a Tiny House? Watch This!

In 2009, Debra and her family were struggling to live in their 2,000 sq. ft. home with only her, her husband and their son. Debra and her husband worked four jobs between the both of them and with the economy growing worse at that point in time, they were financially in a bind. It was then that the pair remembered they had a choice of where they called home. $15,000 later, the family has a beautiful tiny house of 320 sq. ft. They have downsized their lives not to sacrifice, but to focus on what is important to them! Watch this inspiring story and check out Debra’s lovely tiny house below.

Debra and her husband were inspired by the “shotgun shacks” that are common in the South when designing their tiny home. The beautiful wood paneling inside also reflects this inspiration.

I think my favorite part of the entire tiny house is their son’s room. Their thirteen-year-old son lives in a loft-style bedroom, large enough to hold five friends and himself. They have since raised his roof for additional standing room, but this loft space is still the type of bedroom I always dreamed of having myself!
