Save Your Bike Tire Tubes
I ride into Boston to work just about every day I can, and I’ve had eight flats since March. I’m on my 4th tube and second patch kit.
I did find a plastic strip you line the inside of your tire with, between tire and tube. You can buy it for about 6 or 7 bucks each where ever tubes are sold. But they don’t make them or I haven’t found ones for my size tire.
So what I was told by one of the guys at my bike shop was take the old tube, rip off the stem, and line the tire with that instead. It sounded like a great idea, and I don’t know if it’s a fluke, but I haven’t had a flat since!
