The Hitman’s Wife Bodyguard star Salma Hayek just turned 55 years old on September 2, but after taking one glance at her, you’d never know it. In fact, in honor of her birthday, the actress posted a photo of her rocking a bathing suit on her Instagram, and her fans went wild because of how amazing she looks.

“Happy 55th birthday to me 💃🏻 looking forward to new adventures #grateful,” she captioned the post in both English and Spanish.

The photo shows her rocking a bright blue bathing suit that fits just perfectly around her curves. She’s standing in the water, staring off in the distance as the golden light glows off her face. It’s truly a photo that makes you do a double take and wonder how thus woman could ever be in her mid-50s. The message is also a great one; that getting older isn’t something to fret about, but to be grateful for.

Though the photo encompasses a carefree vibe, apparently Hayek hasn’t always been so nonchalant about her weight. As you can imagine, there’s a lot of pressure put on celebrities to look a certain way for the media and fans.

“As you get older, you’re expected not to age,” she said in an interview with InStyle. However, Hayek has had a new appreciation for her body, and all of the things it’s done for her, including helping her become a mom to her 13-year-old daughter, Valentina.

“[Given] how much mileage I put on my body and how much pressure and judgment I put on it, my body has been incredibly generous,” she said. “I don’t think I am some hot tamale, but I know that for my age, for the lifestyle that I lived, I’m not doing too badly.”

She’s certainly right about that one! The photo received over one million likes and over 15,000 comments wishing her a happy birthday and telling her how amazing she looks.
