There’s a Vending Machine Where You Can Trade in Unwanted Candy for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

On Halloween night, millions of kids be will examining their candy hauls, plucking out their least favorite from the mix. In a stroke of nasty candy genius, Reese’s is making things all better by introducing a candy exchange.

The maker of tasty (and top-of-the-list candy) chocolate peanut butter cups is asking folks to give them their tired, poorly flavored, huddle of yucky candy by means of a vending machine. In return, it will spit out a Reese’s cup.

The catch? The “Candy Converter” machine is only available in New York City, and will be in one location on Halloween Day. Additionally, you will have to be fast to trade in your unwanted goods because only 10,000 Reese’s cups will be given out.

If you’re in the area, look for the machine in the Washington Square area in Manhattan between 4 pm and 9 pm on Halloween. For those of you too far away or who would rather skip the candy swapping line, you can still peep what this vending machine looks like in real life by clicking below.

While it is unclear whether Reese’s plans on expanding their idea for next year, we can enjoy watching its sorcery unfold online.

Unsure what to do with leftover candy? You can turn it into another treat with a recipe like this, donate it, or organize your own group candy swap! Otherwise, just do what is always done and create a “good pile” and a “no good pile”.
