Reduce Waste and Save the Taste: The Best Way to Reheat French Fries

We’ve all been there: stuffed at the end of the meal and totally happy, except for all those leftover fries on the plate. We hate to see them go to waste, but sticking them in the microwave the next day like we do with all our other leftovers produces a pale imitation of the potato slices we adore. Don’t give up, though— One Good Thing By Jillee is here with the perfect method for bringing your fries back to their full glory.

How To:

  1. Coat the bottom of a large skillet with a thin layer of neutral-flavored cooking oil. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Place the leftover fries in the pan in one layer. You may need to reheat your fries in batches if there are too many for one layer.
  3. When the bottoms are crispy and golden brown, flip the fries over and cook for another couple of minutes until they’re crispy and golden brown all over.
  4. Remove the fries from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

Freshen up with salt, pepper, and any seasonings of your choice. Perfection! You’ll never have to deal with mealy, tasteless leftovers again. Have you tried this method? Do you have your own ways of reheating fries?
