Genius Way to Recycle Empty Bottles

I had seen this little hack somewhere before, probably a pinterest pin and wanted to try it for myself. The idea is to cut the top off an empty water bottle or in this case a Gatorade bottle. Then for bags with left-over items like chocolate chips, sprinkles, or finely chopped nuts you can use it as a clever alternative to a chip clip. (I know who has left-over chocolate chips, right :) ). What’s nice about this approach is you can simply unscrew the cap and pour out the contents and when finished just screw the lid back on and store in the pantry. I also found that bottles with wide mouths like Gatorade bottles work best because it’s easier for the contents to get through. Cutting the bottle was easier than I thought. Just make an initial puncture with a knife and cut it through but please be very careful. Check out the video below to see how easy this is to do:

Chip clips are still wonderful for this type of thing. Check out this clever hack for creating a simple chip clip.
