Royals Share New Family Photo to Mark Prince William’s 38th Birthday

Yesterday was Father’s Day, but for Prince William, it was so much more. It was also his 38th birthday. In honor of the event, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a new photo of the Prince on their official Twitter feed and their official Instagram account, @KensingtonRoyal.

The new photo was taken by Duchess Catherine at Anmer Hall mansion on the Sandringham Estate. This is where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been staying during the coronavirus lockdown in the U.K. Watch the video below for more details.

In the photo, Prince William couldn’t look happier. He is sitting on a wooden swing, and he’s surrounded by his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The photo was actually released the day before Father’s Day “ahead of The Duke’s birthday.”

On Father’s Day, the Duke and Duchess released several more photos, this time in celebration of Father’s Day. One was of Prince William with his father, Prince Charles. This photo was taken by Duchess Catherine in December 2019. Prince Charles actually tweeted the exact same photo for Father’s Day. The other photo was a throwback photo of Catherine with her father when she was a child.

In a separate post, the royal couple released two more photos of Prince William with his children. This time, William was laying down in the grass while his children playfully piled on top of him.

Prince William isn’t the only member of the royal who recently celebrated a birthday. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Louis both had birthdays in April. Princess Charlotte’s birthday was in May, and Prince Philip’s 99th birthday was earlier in June.

How did you celebrate Father’s Day? Did you take any special family photos?
