Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Share First Post-Royal Interview With Oprah

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are certainly starting off 2021 on the right foot. They just made the exciting announcement that they’re finally expecting their second child!

However, let’s not forget that the couple also had a huge announcement. Last year: That they would be taking a step back from being senior members of the royal family with not a vast amount of details.

With so much going on in their lives, and with so few details in the media after they stepped back, it’s only fair that they’ve agreed to do an interview with Oprah Winfrey for a primetime 90-minute special.

The special, which was announced just one day after the second baby announcement, will largely cover Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down from the royal family, which they announced in the beginning of last year.

While they noted that they would be splitting their time between the United Kingdom and North America and hope to become a financially independent family, there hasn’t been a ton of other information out there regarding their decision.

Since then, they’ve settled down in California with their one-year-old son, Archie. And while they’ve still supported their charities, they’ve managed to stay fairly under the radar—and fans have still been questioning their decision to this day.

If you need some legit answers, clear your calendar for the night of March 7, which is when the special will air on CBS.

“Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” read a post on Markle’s Instagram page.

Prince Harry will join his wife and Oprah later on in the special to speak more on their move and what’s in store for the future.
