A Terrifying Pennywise Balloon Lamp is Now Available to Pre-Order

Autumn is a time of changing leaves. It’s a time of pumpkin spice lattes. And apple cider donuts. And all those other things that give you the warm and fuzzy feels

But it’s also known as a time for haunted houses and ghost tales. And that part of fall gives us a little bit of the heebie jeebies, if we’re being honest.

One of the most popular way to celebrate the spooky season is to pop in a horror flick like Halloweentown or a classic like Scream. These days, the creepy movie that’s all the rage is “It.” You know, the one where a red-haired, white-faced dancing clown named Pennywise appears every 27ish years and preys on children? Yeah, that’s the one!

If you’re anything like I am, you’re either avoiding seeing the terrifying film at all costs due to having nightmares, or maybe you’ve seen it and are now scarred for life that Pennywise is going to come and prey on you. Either way, no thank you—we want to rid ourselves of clowns and balloons and gutters forever!

However, there are some people who like all the creepy, ominous stuff…and if you’re one of those people, you’re in luck: A company called Firefox has created the Pennywise Balloon Lamp, a perfect home decoration for horror movie buffs. The company itself even deems the lamp a “terrifying twist on your usual home décor.” Um, you can say that again.

The brand goes on to describe the Pennywise lamp as “Perfect for illuminating your local rain gutters,” and reassuring you that you can “Relax knowing that an evil ancient clown is watching you.”

At least they have a sense of humor! Or are they serious? We’ll never know…

Don’t worry, they did add a warning to the product: “This balloon does not produce a clown-shaped shadow. If you see one, RUN. You are in immediate danger. Vacate the premises immediately. Pennywise appearance imminent,” as well as their (amusing) disclaimer of: “Contact the police if the balloon starts drifting away.”

The Pennywise Balloon Lamp is almost exactly like the same one from “It,” and casts a chilling red glow in whatever room you put it in. It’s perfect to “terrify any poor guests to your home,” the company says.

Yeah, like that makes us feel any better about making this purchase! The one nice thing is that the lamp is only $37.99, so if this isn’t quite in your wheelhouse, it makes a great affordable gift for someone who is.

If you do know someone who would like this lamp, then they’d probably also like this Pennywise bath bomb. (We know: Exactly where you want the creepy clown to be right?) The bath bomb fizzes in the tub and leaves behind a red trail of “blood.” What better way celebrate this spooktacular season, after all?

Are you a horror movie fan? Have you seen the film It yet? Would you ever purchase this lamp for your house, or know someone who would like it for theirs?
