The Viking Sky cruise ship ran into a serious storm off the cost of Norway and the video taken by passengers is terrifying, like something out of a suspense movie. The ship, with 1,373 passengers on board, was just over 300 feet from a rocky shore when it stalled. Most of the passengers were American, British, Canadian, Kiwi and Australian, according to the Associated Press.

A rescue is under way with several helicopters lifting the passengers from the stricken ship one by one. One person described being rescued by the helicopter in the middle of the storm like being in the middle of a tornado.

The following footage taken by a passenger is enough to give me nightmares. I’m amazed the people stayed so calm.

Let’s all pray for the remaining passengers and crew aboard the Viking Sky.
